1. " Quinine for prophylaxis will be issued in packets of 4 ozs. of quinine mixed with 1^lbs. of magnesium sulphate. This, dissolved in 1^ gallons of water, with the aid of sulphuric acid, gives a quinine content of approximately 10 grains to the ounce and is sufficient for 200 men. E. I. jugs will be provided for preparing the mixture, and a mark should be made at the 1^ gallons level." (Note.?Mixing quinine with magnesium sulphate not only tends to keep the bowels open, but renders the quinine unsaleable.)
